Deep down in the depths of my heart
I knew that my brain wouldn't start

Yet I can't fathom why I took the task
Only if somebody had the pluck to ask

Now I am left wanderin' on my own
To decide what shall I make my second home

But my mind must make a choice
Or else hail the inner voice

At a roundabout I am stuck
Not knowing where to head to

Every path looks alike to me
And then suddenly they inter-wine

Like broken twigs off a tree's branches
My soul lies scattered on the ground

And with no one to rescue me
I am utterly LOST

1 deviant said A Sweet Prison, The Choice to StayHe didn't belong there and he knew it. It sure was comfortable and fancy and he was safe but he wasn't born to be locked inside. He was a traveler; an adventurer who had met the entire world. Cold places covered with snow, warm ones where the heat was unbearable, chilly ones, the feeling of rain on his body. Now, he was caged in a golden palace, restrained to see the world through iron bars. It was his prison.

He didn't have much to do. He had time, lots of time, but he couldn't spend it. The only thing he was doing all the time was jumping from one perch to another. The distance between them was so close that he didn't even make an effort t A Sweet Prison, The Choice to Stay

I will flee from the threat.

I shall go far not near.

A place that is safe,

That is what I need.

I need no familiar face

So, I take off with speed.

Forget what I have left

For it is surely gone.

Time is running out,

They will be awakened by dawn.

So, I gather my things

And swiftly go away.

There's nothing left for me here

And no reason to stay.

But I'll admit, I'm glad that I'm free.

After years of being controlled, I can finally be me.
